Earthkeepers II is being coordinated by The Cedar Tree Institute, a nonprofit organization which provides services and initiates projects in the areas of mental health, religion, and the environment.
Kyra Lane Ziomkowski has been inspired by the natural world since she was a child. At 22 she went to live in Alaska in a small Yupik village on the Bering Sea and came to appreciate the hunting and gathering life style she was introduced to there.
Kyra currently lives with her husband and five children in Marquette, MI where she studies plants and herbalism, picks berries, fly fishes, writes and builds community with her neighbors. She holds a Master’s degree from Michigan Technological University in Biological Science and has been helping coordinate projects for Earthkeepers since 2005.
